Plain-language summary: We do not sell your data. We do not store what you type into our health tools. We collect only what we need to serve you — your email if you give it, your contact information if you submit a form. Your health data never leaves your device.
Who We Are

What We Collect
Information you give us directly:
- Name and email address — voluntarily submitted through contact forms, consultation requests, or newsletter sign-ups.
- Your message — the content you write when you contact us through any form on this site.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage analytics — we use Google Analytics (GA4, ID: G-2EN2CEKR6Y) to collect anonymized data about pages visited, session duration, and general geographic region. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.
- Session tokens — if you use authenticated features on this site, a session token is stored in your browser to keep you logged in. This token is stored locally and expires when your session ends.
- Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, retained up to 30 days for security purposes.
What We Do NOT Collect
Health records you type in stay on your device. When you use the Kidney Navigator, health data you manually enter — lab values, weight logs, fluid intake, medications, dialysis schedule — is stored in your browser's localStorage only. We do not transmit, upload, or store this information on MAVTG servers, and MAVTG never sees it.
Exception — any feature in the app that uses AI. This includes, among others, "Scan Medication," "Upload Lab Report," "Scan Menu," AI Lab Interpreter, and the "Ask Coach" chat. Whenever you actively use one of these features, the photo or text you submit for that one action — and, for some features, related values already on your device (like a recent lab result) needed to give a useful answer — is sent to Anthropic (the company behind the Claude AI models) for analysis. The result is then returned to your device and saved to your local storage as normal; MAVTG's own servers relay the request but do not store the photo or text. This is the only way health data you provide leaves your device, and it only happens when you actively use an AI feature — never in the background, and never for data you type into any other part of the app.
- Health data you type into forms, logs, and trackers stays local — we do not collect it.
- A photo or question you submit to a scan/AI feature is processed by Anthropic for that one request; see "Third-Party Services" below.
- We do not collect financial information (Stripe handles all payment processing directly).
- We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use two categories of cookies and browser storage:
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out at any time using Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by clicking "Decline" in the cookie banner.
- Functional localStorage (app state) — stores your preferences, session state, and (for the Kidney Navigator) your health data locally on your device. None of this is transmitted to us.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or any third-party tracking pixels beyond Google Analytics.
Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosts this website. Standard server logs per Vercel's privacy policy.
- Stripe — processes payments. We never see or store your full payment card number. Governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Web3Forms — processes contact form submissions. Your message is sent through their servers and forwarded to our inbox. See web3forms.com/privacy.
- Anthropic — processes the photo or text you submit through the Kidney Navigator's "Scan Medication," "Upload Lab Report," "Scan Menu," and "Ask AI" symptom-check features, in order to return the analysis you requested. Only used when you actively use one of those features. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you

- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (1) know what personal information we collect about you; (2) request deletion of your personal information; (3) opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information); and (4) non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

GDPR — Visitors in the European Union
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the same rights to access, correction, deletion, and portability of your personal data. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately at michael@mavtg.com.
Data Security
This site is served exclusively over HTTPS with HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security). All connections are encrypted in transit. We apply industry-standard security headers including Content Security Policy, X-Frame-Options, and Permissions Policy. Contact form data is processed by Web3Forms and is not stored in our own database.
