Michael Moore has been on dialysis for more than six years and is on the national kidney transplant waitlist. He sits for treatment several times a week. In the days between, he travels — building a life that proves a diagnosis doesn't have to shrink your world.

He's a kidney disease advocate, the founder of MAVTG, and a father. He wrote these books for the people coming up behind him: the newly diagnosed, the families learning a new normal, and the kids who just need someone to explain it gently.
